“Stories and Truths about Transcendence” is series of discussions facilitated by Nitai. He will be focusing on key themes found in the Bhagavad Gita. We will also hear about the epic lives of the great personalities mentioned in its pages.
Dates: September 26th, October 3rd, October 17th, October 24th (although attending all the nights would be most beneficial, each session is unique and you can come for as many of them as you'd like)
The Bhagavad Gita is universally renowned as the jewel of India’s spiritual wisdom. It is one of the greatest philosophical and spiritual dialogues in the history of the world. Not only is it a source of great knowledge and wisdom, but it expresses the richness of a spiritual culture that once flourished in humanity. Through the pages of the Bhagavad Gita we become acquainted with the elevated qualities of enlightened sages and the means to discover the same within ourselves.
What is destiny? Is there such a thing as inevitable fate? Is the course of life something that is beyond human power and control? Or, are we the masters of our own fortune? This discussion will focus on the journey of the soul and its relationship with karma. We will see in the Bhagavad Gita what we can control in our lives and what we cannot, as well as the benefits in making the distinction between the two.
These sessions are offered by donation.
