Kirtan Vancouver and Karma Teachers invite you to join us for an evening of Sacred Storytelling and Kirtan with The Walking Monk - Bhaktimarga Swami

He is taking a short break from his foot trek across the United States to share tales of his adventures with the Vancouver community.

This beautiful evening is being offered for a $15 donation although no one will be turned away for lack of funds!

Bhaktimarga Swami is a disciple of Srila A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada and an instructor of Bhakti Yoga and mantra meditation who adopted the monastic lifestyle of the Gaudiya Vaisnava order in 1973. He is also a playwright, producer and director of live avant garde “morality theatre”. But he is perhaps best know as "The Walking Monk" having achieved the remarkable feat of walking across the entire length of Canada four times. He uses his journeys to promote the value of pilgrimage and a more car-free, care-free lifestyle. His 1996 trek was detailed in the National Film Board of Canada’s documentary, “The Longest Road”. In addition to Canada he has also walked across the countries of Ireland, Israel, Fiji Islands, Mauritius, Trinidad and Guyana. He will be joining us with some singing, dancing and blissful storytelling!
